Victoria Lozano BSN, RN, CDCES
Diabetes Educator Nurse (bilingual, Spanish), Health Management Center, Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital

I am a Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist and Registered Nurse for 9.5 years. I am new to Advocate Aurora Health. I am working at Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital as the new Bilingual, Spanish-speaking Diabetes Educator Nurse in the Health Management Center. Previously I was working at Northwest Community Hospital for the past 6.5 years, first as a nurse in their Behavioral Health units, then transitioned into the role of Diabetes Educator nurse in the hospital and Outpatient clinic. I have been working as a Diabetes Educator for 4+ years, as well as working alongside their Community Department to provide education and resources to uninsured patients, and leading the Diabetes Support groups at the Arlington Heights Senior Center. Prior to working at Northwest Community Hospital, I was working as a nurse at a primary doctor’s office in Des Plaines, as well as a care coordinator for MSO Great Lakes.

I am the oldest of 5 children and come from a very large Mexican family. I am the proud daughter of immigrants, first generation, and first to go to college in my family. I am married to my wonderful husband who is also my best friend, and my hobbies include crafting, yoga, baking, and going on nature adventures with my niece Luz Josefina and my husband Tommy. I am very excited to start this new chapter in my life and become a greater support in my new community.
